I'm so grateful I had Amy, Desi, and Isabelle as my midwives for my home birth. This was my 1st home birth and 4th child (2nd unmedicated birth). During my labor I felt so much gratitude to have had so much support from all of them because I wasn't expecting it to be so intense. I truly relied on all of them to help me make it through. They were all so attentive helping me through every surge. They empowered me throughout my whole labor, especially during the times I needed it the most. My baby girl came relatively quick with the last hour being the most intense. I actually delivered her on my couch- Amy, Desi, and Isabelle were right there helping me feel capable and strong! Other than having an amazing home birth- the whole process of having a midwife during this pregnancy for my prenatal care was incredible. I ALWAYS felt heard and supported which is PRICELESS with healthcare today. If I were to have another baby there is no doubt that I would go with Amy and her team again. They are incredibly knowledgeable and intuitive midwives and I feel so grateful to have gone through this experience with them.

Amy and Desi were incredible and I’m so grateful for their support during the birth of my third baby. I opted for a home birth with them after 2 prior c-sections. They were so supportive from the start, even with my history, and because they believed I could do it, I did too. Their encouragement made me feel so confident leading up to the birth. They were up front about the risks, but also reassured me with all the measures we could take to mitigate them. When labor started, things picked up quickly. We were on the fence about whether it was time to invite the midwives or not, but Amy assured me she was happy to check in even if it was a little early. Thank goodness she came when she did because things moved fast. My baby was showing some moderate decelerations when she listened on the monitor, so we did consider a hospital transfer. With Amy’s guidance we tried some different positions first, and he tolerated them well. We decided to stay home as long as his heart tones sounded good, and thankfully they did. Amy was verbally supportive through each contraction, and even offered some counter pressure while we waited for my doula to arrive. Because of the decelerations we observed, she recommended that I birth outside the tub. Desi arrived shortly before my baby was born. I pushed for only about 20 minutes and my baby was born in our bed, followed by the most beautiful golden hour that I never got to experience with my other births. Recovery has been amazing, both physically and emotionally, probably because of such a low-intervention, peaceful birth. I am so grateful for their expertise and quick thinking when we were faced with moments of concern. They were hands on when I needed it and hands off when I needed it. Truly I don’t think I could have been as safe and successful without their support and knowledge. I’m also grateful that they were aware of their limitations and willing to transfer if needed. A home birth may not be right for everyone, but I believe it is a beautiful and safe option for so many women, especially with midwives as knowledgeable as Amy and Desi.

Amy, Desi, and Isabell are the most incredible midwifery team. For any couple considering a home birth, I cannot recommend them enough. Through my entire pregnancy, labor, and even into postpartum they were so supportive, empowering and insightful. Truly, their care and nurturing goes beyond what I expected and far beyond the care of traditional OB's and Hospital staff, to be sure. I am profoundly grateful that these women were by my side for this monumental experience. I felt so held, so prepared and so trusting going into my first birth. If we are blessed enough to have a second, there is no question that Peaceful Birth Midwifery team will be the first women I call.

Peaceful Birth Midwifery will forever hold a special place in my heart since having their support during the birth of my rainbow baby. Their prenatal care was the absolute best because they really prioritized mom and baby’s health with no extra unnecessary things. Although I decided to transfer from a home birth to the hospital, after 20 hours of labor Amy and her team stayed by my side not only supporting me but my husband as well. After a total of almost 40 hours of labor they are one of the reasons I kept staying strong! Thank you!

I cannot say enough amazing things about PeacefulBirth and the care I received from Amy and Desi. From the very beginning, they made me feel supported, safe, informed, and truly cared for throughout my entire birth experience. During labor, there was a slight complication, and instead of creating fear or panic, they calmly walked me through exactly how to handle it. They empowered me to take part in the process and helped me work through it myself with their guidance and support. That experience gave me so much more confidence in myself, my body, and the birth process as a whole. Their support went far beyond just physical care. They were emotionally present through every step, encouraging me, grounding me, and helping me feel strong and capable during one of the most important moments of my life. Because of their care, my baby was born healthy and well, and I walked away from the experience feeling empowered and deeply grateful. Amy and Desi are truly incredible at what they do, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, knowledgeable, and empowering birth support.
